EBACE 2019 Summary Industry Trends and Future Outlook
Today we wrapped a highly successful edition of the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2019).
“Business aviation continues changing right before our eyes, and here at EBACE, we have seen and touched the industry’s future,” said National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We’re finishing EBACE inspired by a vision of sustainable flight, urban air mobility and other game-changing innovations.”
This edition of EBACE revealed changing innovations and addressed the future of aviation in Europe and across the Globe.
We have seen innovations in aircraft design and the surfacing of a new method of business transport.
The incredible promise and progress of electric and hybrid-electric powered vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, focusing on non-helicopter VTOL aircraft large enough to carry passengers without conventional helicopter flight controls.
Another area of focus in this year EBACE was fuel, 23 aircraft powered with sustainable alternative jet fuel (SAJF) had been sold. This confirms the industry commitment to sustainable and environment-friendly aviation.
Workspace innovation, career development and equality were also an integral part of discussions at EBACE 2019.
The participants showed a keen effort to keep the conversation about women in aviation going and the importance of welcoming women into all roles. It’s encouraging to see upward trends in the aviation industry, with multinationals headed by women. And seeing organizations like (WAI) Women in Aviation International among the exhibit participants.Bizav OEMs revealed new aircraft and certifications. Bombardier’s Global 7500 made its post-certification debut at EBACE, and Embraer displayed the new Praetor 600 aircraft for the first time since being certified in Europe, the U.S. and Brazil.
Pilatus sold half of its new tranche of 80 PC-24s twinjets during the show.
